We were lucky to have met Ed & Linda in Florida, them living across the road in the RV park. We enjoyed Ed's story telling and knowledge of horses. One of our favorite memories was taking him to a pull. He certainly was treated as a celebrity that day! Our sympathy to all. We will miss him. RIP Ed

To the Spittler Family,
As you know I spent pretty much a whole summer at Ed's working and helping out. I really enjoyed talking with him and listening to many of his stories of life lessons he would share with me. Every time he and I sat we always talked baseball, he loved the game and his Atlanta Braves.
For over a full year the Spittler's were my second family. I have many great memories that I will never forget. To this day I still use the term "Bamboozler" which Big Ed seemed to call everyone he thought was charging to much for something.
A great man has moved on but the many lessons he passed on will live forever in those whose lives he touched.
My deepest Condolences,
Lenny

Dear Ed,Jr. Dana, Linda, and families:
Bonnie, and I offer our sincere condolences to you all. Ed was a great mentor to me when I had the farm at Crosby. We not only became friends, but he treated me like a son, and sometimes I called him Uncle Ed. He not only worked for Bell Tel., but was known far and wide for his lifelong equestrian, and agricultural pursuits.Ed was a loving and compassionate man. I was proud to know him as a fellow teamster in the old tradition. With the grace of God, "Drive on, Ed."
