Obituary of Audene M. Johnson

Smethport - Audene M. Johnson, 87, of Smethport, died Saturday (June 29, 2013) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. She was born Feb. 10, 1926 in Kane, a daughter of Earl and Mabel Larson Lyman. On Nov. 22, 1947, in Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Port Allegany, PA, she married Donald R. Johnson, who survives. Mrs. Johnson was a 1944 graduate of Smethport High School and was a home maker. In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Morrison, in 1999. Honoring Mrs. Johnson’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral and committal services will be held Tuesday, July 2 at 11:00 am in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Smethport, with the Rev. Max Simms, Pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
