Obituary of Marie L. Mead-Cullen

Smethport - Marie L. Mead-Cullen, 82, of Warren, passed away Monday (April 13, 2015), at her residence in Warren, after a lengthy illness. She was born Oct 24, 1932, in Turtlepoint, a daughter of Theodore F. and Naomi Ryan Klawuhn. On January 8, 1998, in Sanford, FL, she married LeRoy Cullen, who survives. Mrs. Cullen had been a waitress at the former Holiday House in Bradford for 14 years. She attended the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, received her teaching certification and taught in the Bradford School system for several years before retiring in 1991. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: one daughter: Lori L. (Mark) Hansen of Warren one step daughter: Connie Lee (Rev. Eric) Moore of Sydney, ME two sons: Jack L. Mead , Jr. of Liverpool, NY and Randy L. (Rosa) Mead of Smethport six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and three great grandchildren five sisters: Donna Dugener of Michigan, Josephine Fitzsimmons and Nancy Babcock, both of Port Allegany, Emilene Pesock of Turtlepoint, and Patty Mistretta of Russell, PA two brothers: Ronald Klawuhn of Bradford, and Wayne Homell of Port Allegany and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Mead on Feb. 24, 2004, four brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, from 10-11 A.M., in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., with the Rev. Eric Moore, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Warren, PA.
