Obituary of Edward H. Marsh

Smethport - Edward H. Marsh, 97, of Smethport, died Sunday (March 22, 2015) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. He was born March 5, 1918 in Crosby, a son of Elwin A. and Evelyn E. Newcombe Marsh. On January 6, 1940, he married his beloved Mary Clare Lewis, who died on December 29, 1972. After his retirement, he then married Laura Hall Holsinger, who also preceded him in death. Mr. Marsh attended Crosby schools and was owner and operator of the Crosby Garage. He also drove bus for the Crosby School and was a welder for the state. He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church of Smethport. He is survived by: two daughters: Sharon "Sherry" (Lenny) Anderson of Smethport and Nancy Connor of Grandy, NC one son: Thomas (Vicky) Marsh of Smethport 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be announced at a later date and time.
