Obituary of Jane A. Romanio

Port Allegany- Jane A. Romanio, 84, of, Hamburg, NY, formerly of Port Allegany and Lake Worth, Fl died Wednesday (August 13, 2014) in the Elderwood Nursing Home, Hamburg, NY. She was born Nov 8, 1929 in Port Allegany, a daughter of Steve A. and Veva Hazen Romanio. Miss Romanio was a 1947 graduate of Port Allegany High School and attended University of Rochester where she earned a degree in English with a minor in Voice. She received her Master's in Education fron St. Bonaventure University Miss Romanio was an Orthoptic Technician, employed by NY Eye and Ear Infirmary and at various firms in Florida. She also taught music at Otto Eldred High School. She is survived by: Cousins: David (Jane) H. Larcom of Hamburg, NY; Michael Larcom of Pittsburgh, PA; Howard Johnson of Largo, FL; Randy Coons of Largo, FL; Carol Subject of Fort Collins, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Steven A Romanio. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014from 6-8PM in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, 203 Arnold Ave., Port Allegany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday August 22, 2014 in St Gabriel's Catholic Church with the Rev. James Campbell, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in the St Gabriel's Cemetery, Port Allegany. Memorials may be made to St Gabriel's Church, 203 Arnold Ave, Port Allegany, PA 16743 or the charity of the donor's choice.
