Don and my grandfather, Ed Shelander, were friends for nearly 70 years. They became friends as teenagers growing up in the Hazelhurst area. They worked together for close to 40 years at Quaker State Refinery. After retirement, for the past 20 plus years, they enjoyed going out for breakfast a few time a week. He will be missed.
