Obituary of Victoria Thomas

Smethport - Victoria "Tola" Thomas, 92, of, Colegrove died Tuesday (June 19, 2012) in the Kane Community Hospital, Kane. She was born May 23, 1920 in Smethport, a daughter of Aluf and Agnes Axberg Peterson, in the Colegrove Union Church; she married Scott Thomas, who died August. 18, 1965. Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of Colegrove High School. Mrs. Thomas was a Secretary and Book Keeper, employed by Eastside Garage, which was owned by her father and later Todd Dodge until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Phoenix Chapter #15 for over 50 years. She was a member, long time organist and treasurer of the Crosby United Methodist Church. She was the coordinator of her high school class reunion for many years. She is survived by many nieces and nephews Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA A funeral service will be held Monday, June 25 at 11:00 am in the funeral with the Rev. Randall Headley, pastor of the Crosby United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Norwich Cemetery, Colegrove.
