Obituary of Bruce A. Hector

Smethport - Bruce Alan Hector, 54, of Smethport, died Tuesday (November 22, 2011) in the Buffalo VA Hospital, Buffalo, NY He was born Sept. 11, 1957 in Camp Lejeune, NC, a son of Arthur O. and Frances M. McGavisk Hector. Mr. Hector was a 1976 graduate of Smethport Area High School. He was a Sgt. in the U.S. Army, serving from 1980 to 1992. Mr. Hector was a Truck Driver, employed by C.R. England Co. He was a member of American Legion; Bucktail Post #138, Smethport and the VFW Post #212 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2432, both of Bradford. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters: Karen Hector of Bradford, PA, Cynthia Hector of Pittsford, NY grandmother, Edith Margetta of Smethport, PA. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 3 at 11:00 am at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion; Bucktail Post #138 of Smethport.
