Obituary of Helen S. Connolly

Port Allegany - Helen S. "Tessie" Connolly, 95, of, Port Allegany, died Tuesday (September 27, 2011) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. She was born May 17, 1916 in Grassflat, PA a daughter of John and Mary Kuzilla Singler, On Dec. 22 1938 in Bradford, PA; she married William P. Connolly, who died June 24, 1946. Mrs. Connolly was a graduate of Cooper Township High School. Mrs. Connolly worked for Bell Telephone and was a house keeper, employed by H.C Herger. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, the Catholic Woman's Club of St. Gabriel's, S. W. Smith Friends of Library and Senior Center, all of Port Allegany. She is survived by One daughter: Mary Margaret (David) Mensch of Port Allegany, PA Daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Connolly of Richmond, VA; 3 grandchildren; Teri Ann (Henry) Stahl of Pasadena MD, Sean (Pam) Connolly of Richmond Va. and Teri (Daryl) VanLuvnee of Portland Or. 6 great grandchildren Kendrick and Duncan VanLuvnee; Bryan and Kaitlyn Connolly and Branden and Jamie Stahl. One sister, Pauline McAnnallen of Chicora, PA She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, W. Jon Connolly, 3 sisters, Ann Barnes, Mary McDonough, and Veronica Rost, and 2 brothers John Singler, and Andrew Singler. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8PM at St Gabriel's Catholic Church, Arnold Ave., Port Allegany. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am Saturday in St Gabriel's Church with the Rev. James Campbell as celebrant. Burial will be in the St Gabriel's Cemetery, Port Allegany.
