I met Ene in 6th grade and we quickly became fast and best friends. The one thing I remember most and loved so much about Ene was the laughter. If we were near each other, we were laughing. We attended school together, worked together, had children together, laughed, cried, and loved. I will miss her greatly. Watch out heaven! You are getting one special gal!!

Christine - or "Ene" as she was known by those who knew her well - and I have a lot of memories that begin from when we were very young. She was so much better than me about remembering all the details and, when she would recount them, we all would be rolling on the floor in laughter! There were fires in the Gault firepit out back, picnics in the woods, sleeping out on the Clark front porch, sled riding in the winter months and dipping our feet in the creeks in the summer, riding bikes everywhere, passing the barn on Boylan road especially at night because we were sure it was haunted, playing games of kickball, kick the can, hide and seek....you name it, we did it! She was indeed a great friend. I talked to Ene in June just before returning to Africa and we talked over an hour...we laughed and cried and Ene recounted one story after another of some of our times together. The sorrow I feel is not shallow but deeply profound as it is like I am also burying my childhood memories today as well. She was too young to go through what she did and too young to meet this untimely death. But here I am, faced with reality. This is when I throw myself in the arms of the God I serve to receive comfort and help. And He is there. Ene, you not only WILL be missed but you already ARE missed. I loved you like a true friend -- and they are hard to find. I will keep our memories alive in my mind and I thank God today that He brought you into my life and that you impacted my life. Thank you for the laughter, thank you for the hours and hours spent together over many, many years, thank you for your friendship that never died down or passed even with the huge distance between us geographically, thank you for accepting me the way that I am......thank you. I loved you deeply and I will remember.

I was very sad to hear of Chris' passing. She was a good friend for many years, although we lost touch somewhere along the way..I will always remember her for the good times we had at the bowling alley in High School, bowling on her team and laughing and having alot of fun, and later as a very friendly teller at the Hamlin Bank for so many years...she will be missed greatly. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Know that she is resting with her mother in heaven, whom she dearly missed and always spoke so highly of.
