Obituary of Samuel Isaac Heffner

Smethport - Samuel Isaac Heffner, 32, of Lynchburg, VA, died Monday (October 25, 2010). He was born Feb 15, 1978 in Bradford, a son of Andrew E. and Gloria Lowry Heffner, Sr. Mr. Heffner was a 1997 graduate of Smethport Area High School and attended Alfred University, Clarion University, where he received his bachelor's degree in business, and was currently working on his master's degree at Lynchburg University in VA. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 8 years and served on a mission trip to Kenya. He was employed as an accounts receivables clerk for Lincare and was a part time employee for Diuguid Funeral Service in Lynchburg, VA. He was number 39 as a member of the Smethport High School "Hubbers" football team that won 67 straight games during the fall 1996 season. He was a member of the Big 30 Allstar Team. He had also worked at Costa's Super Market for four years during high school. Sam especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. In addition to his parents of Ormsby, he is survived by: His fiancée, Kim Mason Wiley of Lynchburg, VA Four brothers: Andrew E. Heffner, Jr. of Jefferson, OH; Randy, Stan, and Pete Heffner all of Cyclone One sister: Sarah Shaffer of Port Allegany, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held privately with the family. The Rev. William Lowery, Sr., Uncle to Sam, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Farmers Valley.
