Obituary of John B. Shalkowski

Coudersport- John B. Shalkowski, 90, of, Coudersport, died Friday (July 30, 2010) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. He was born Nov 17, 1919 in Falls Creek, a son of Anthony and Anna Warren Shalkowski, on November 1, 1940 in Coudersport, PA, he married Margaret E. Dann, who died July 21, 2006. Mr. Shalkowski attended Coudersport schools and received his GED in 1974 . Mr. Shalkowski worked for the Damascus Tanning Co, Coudersport for 33 years. He then worked another 13 years for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation retiring in 1988 He was a member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church, Coudersport. He is survived by one daughter: Valerie(Greg) Marshall of Ellicottville, NY one son: Dann(Nancy) Shalkowski of Port Allegany, PA one sister: Helen Taubert of St. Petersburg, FL 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at 11 AM on August 4, 2010 in St. Eulalia Catholic Church with the Rev. James Campbell, Pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport.
