Obituary of Audrey J. McCollough

Smethport - Audrey J. McCollough, 67, of Smethport, died Monday (June 21, 2010) in the Hamot Medical Center, Erie. She was born April 2, 1943 in Port Allegany, a daughter of Otis L. and Mildred B.F. Jackson Ostrander. She was raised, however, by her guardians, Milford S. and Clara H.C. Jackson Freer. On Sept. 29, 1962, in Port Allegany, PA, she married Howard F. McCollough, who died March 4, 2010. Mrs. McCollough was a 1961 graduate of Port Allegany High School and was a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Allegany; American Legion Auxillary Bucktail Post #138, Smethport; the Smethport VFW Post #2497 Auxillary; Maude Rebekkah Lodge #175; Salon #282 8&40; McKeenest Red Hats; Smethport Area Chapter #933 AARP; YS Elderberries Club, Smethport Senior Center. She is survived by one daughter: Shelby (Daniel) Johnson of Clermont, PA 6 grandchildren: Dustin, Justin, Tawney, Morgan, Alexandria, and Blake Johnson four sisters: Harriet Wenner of Smethport, PA, Loretta Siebert of Phillipsburg, MO, Claudia Hills of Smethport, PA, Janet Renner of Port Allegany, PA two brothers: Glen Ostrander of Conroe, TX, Donald Freer of Port Allegany, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, biological parents, and guardians, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Alvin and Howard Ostrander; one sister: Marlene Bunting Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. Funeral and committal services will be held Thursday, June 24 at 11:00 am from the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Culver, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Port Allegany, officiating.
