Obituary of Lois May Peterson

Smethport-Lois M. Peterson, 75 of Smethport, formerly of Erie, PA, died Friday in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, PA. She was born March 30,1935, in Holland, NY, a daughter of Raymond and Hazel (Spalti) Hicks. On December 6, 1975, in Smethport, PA, she married Jack H. Peterson, who survives. Mrs. Peterson graduated from Benezette High School, and was a home maker for most of her life. She loved her family and outdoor life at camp. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: one daughter: LaWanda D. (Noah) Knauer of Port Allegany, PA one son: Donald R. Studor of Erie, PA step sons: Jack (Judy) Peterson of DuBois, PA; Brian K. (Connie) Peterson of Erie, PA; Timothy D. Peterson of Marianna, FL step daughters: Patricia A. (John) Coleman of Belmont, NY; Wendy L. (James) Gonzales of Erie, PA; Sharon M. (Kevin) Pire of Bradford, PA 23 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren two sisters: Naomi Klancer of Indiana, PA, Janet Miller of Brockway, PA one brother: Dennis Hicks of Girard, PA; and several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 6, from 10-11 A.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, at which time funeral and committal services will be held at 11, with the Rev. Randall Headley, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Port Allegany, officiating. Burial will be in Clermont Cemetery, Clermont.
