I want to pass along my deepest sympathies to Brad's family and friends. I enjoyed getting to know Brad over several years at the IU9. He was always someone who could put me in a good mood with his wonderful humor and positive attitude. I'll miss our conversations about anything and everything including the existence of Mothman, his "recommendations" for my weekly fish fry and how he pretended to watch the games the night before and discussed the details with me the next day. He was a good friend and great man, who never failed to make me laugh. He will be missed!

Who can even think of Brad and not smile? He was a unique and wonderful person. He was a giver and often came to our home to hook up TV's and other electronic gear. We were clueless about those things and when I forgot what he told me, he was so patient and kind. I will miss him. rick will miss him and I know his faithful family will continue to have perseverance in their heart and carry on his values. God Bless your whole family.

During the time my family lived in Port, his parents were good friends of mine, and their family attended my dad's parish. I have fond memories of the entire family, and send them all my sincere condolences. Amy (Masters) Toohey

I knew Brad from his work as an IU troubleshooter at our school. He was very gracious and patient working with us technically challenged teachers!
I always appreciated his help and looked forward to having him work on my computers. I was touched by the detailed obituary description of the other side of Brad that we at school did not know. My condolences to his family.

To Brad’s family and friends, I send my deepest sympathy. What can you say about a man like Brad Binder? He displayed the qualities and characteristics we should all aspire to: kindness always, love of others, devotion to his faith, family, and friends, generous in heart, along with a positive spirit. I think he said it best whenever asked, “Brad, how are you?” His response was always, “AMAZING!!” Yes, you are my friend and colleague, and always will be! Rest in peace. You will be so greatly missed!

When Zoe and I were first married and had twins on our one year wedding anniversary. And then another little one shortly after that. And another little one shortly after that... Brad and his beautiful sweet wife Mary Janette took us under their wings. They fed us -- physically they fed us lots of meals. But they also fed us with a FEAST of wisdom. They listened to our woes with empathy and without judgment. Brad would chuckle those deep throated "BEEN THERE!" chuckles as he listened to our struggles. He would point us to the Word of God for answers. It wasn't a dusty ancient book to him - it was ALIVE to him. He knew what it meant and how it applied to his life. He knew how it applied to his marriage, and to his kids.
His kids were teenagers, and they actually liked him. So I knew I had to learn everything I could from this man if I wanted my kids to actually like me some day.
Brad knew many of my darkest secrets. I could confess my struggles to him, and he knew what struggles looked like. And he would gently guide me to walking the right path.
You never had to worry about Brad Binder making you feel "judged."
You might worry about letting him down, because doggone, you loved him, and you know he loved you. But no, he didn't judge you.
I can still feel his hand on my shoulder praying for me. It was always supernaturally warm.
To Mary Janette and your beautiful children, I'm deeply sorrowful for your loss, and I know my grief and loss for Brad is pale compared to yours. I know what it's like to lose a great man of that caliber. Men like that don't leave holes in your heart, they leave massive craters.
I can tell you that I know your father's heart. I know it because - he helped teach me how to be a father.
I know what he prayed for every morning when he woke up and what he prayed for every night before he went to sleep.... he prayed that his family would love the Lord, and they they would be blessed. So today, I'll pray that prayer in his place for him!
