Obituary - Ramsey A. Dalaba, Sr. ____________________________________________________________________________ Port Allegany - Ramsey A. Dalaba, Sr., 88, of Port Allegany, died Tuesday March 23, 2010 in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. He was born Nov 29, 1921 in Blossburg, PA a son of Arthur and Ida J. Sabin Dalaba, Sr., He married Gladys Rice in Port Allegany, PA, he later married Fern Lillibridge who preceded him in death, he then married Gertrude M Dalaba, who died May 9, 2009. Mr. Dalaba was a graduate of Port Allegany High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1944 to 1946. Mr. Dalaba worked for Pierce Glass Co. now St. Gobain. He was a Constable and a bus drives for many years for the Port Allegany School District. He also owned and operated his own handyman business. He is survived by two sons: Ramsey A Dalaba, Jr. of Endicott, NY and William A. Dalaba of Windsor, NY one daughter: Debra Miczo of Cambridge, PA one step daughter, Heidi Meacham of Port Allegany, PA one sister: Ella (Marvin) Miles of Cuba, NY one brother: Arthur (Sandy) Dalaba, Jr. of Salamanca, NY Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives and two sons, Jack A. Dalaba and Wilber Dalaba one daughter, Evonne Dalaba, two brothers Henry and Lewis Dalaba and two Sisters Helen and Pearl Smith. Friends will be received on Thursday March 25, 2010 from 5-7 pm in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, Port Allegany. At which time funeral service will be held with the Rev Roger Laktash, officiating Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Port Allegany Honor Guard Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
