Obituary of Howard A. Razey
Smethport - Howard A. Razey, 77, of Smethport, passed away Monday (April 1, 2024) at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born September 1, 1946 in Port Allegany, the son of William and Mary (Barker) Razey. On July 7, 1989, in Smethport, he married Sara J. Rose, who survives.
Howard worked hard for many years at Mallory’s Lumber, but his passion was driving truck. He drove for several different companies, but enjoyed his years with Taylor & Armstrong in Eldred, until he retired at age 62 to care for his mother.
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness of Bradford, PA.
In addition to his wife, Sara, he is survived by:
Two daughters: Connie (James) Hamilton of Port Allegany and JoAnn (Tim) Freer of Roulette
One son: James Razey of Smethport
Three stepsons: Matthew, DJ and Lyle
Twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren
One brother: David (Connie) Razey of Portville, NY
And several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by one son, Frank Razey, one brother, Bernard Razey, and one sister, Ida Belle Drayer
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness of Bradford. Burial will be in Norwich Cemetery.
