Obituary of Michael James Kellar
Smethport - Michael James Kellar, 57, of Crosby, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday (October 24, 2023) at his residence.
He was born November 30, 1965 in Punxsutawney, the son of James R. and Carolyn (Lott) Kellar.
Mike was a 1984 graduate of Punxsutawney High School and served in the U.S. Army.
Mike was employed at Pittsburgh Corning of Port Allegany, PA.
He was a member of the American Legion; John Berg Post #976 of Crosby, PA. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was a proud member of “Steeler Nation” and enjoyed making people laugh (or cry). He was the first of the Kellar family to be internationally published.
He is survived by his parents, James R. and Carolyn Kellar of Punta Gorda, FL
Two sons: Garrett Gene Kellar and Greg Michael Kellar, both of Pittsburgh, PA
Six grandchildren
Two brothers: Matthew V. Kellar of Westerville, OH and Nathan P. Kellar of Asheville, NC
several nieces and nephews
as well as his best friend, Lori Coffman of Crosby
A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, from 1-5PM at the American Legion; John Berg Post #976 of Crosby, PA. Military Honors will be accorded by the Crosby Honor Guard.
