Tia Mary was always fun and happy. When I was a kid, she zipped us around in a fancy convertible, back when cars didn't have seatbelts. It was my first taste of freedom. A more recent memory was in Hilton Head. She, Christine and I shopped for '60s consignment dresses. We piled in a tiny dressing room and giggled like we were buying prom dresses. Between the three of us. we modeled every halter dress and moo moo in the shop. We had a completely different zipped experience because Mary had a hard time finding a dress that fit her on top. To celebrate our victorious $10 finds, we had a fancy dress up feast in the condo. I'll miss Tia Mary's smile and warmth and positive outlook.

Scott and I will always remember Mary's cheerful personality, as well as her willingness to babysit our very young sons (one night while we were visiting) with very little notice!! Her sweet spirit will be remembered always!
