My condolences to Beth's family. Beth was a very kindhearted person. She assisted me with my very first heart surgery done in Erie back in 1997. She was always a calming influence on me and the rest of the surgical team. She always put the patients first and always the consummate professional. We went through many stressful situations together in the operating room, and this cultivates a special bond between a surgeon and their assistant. She spoke often and fondly of her family. I thought the world of Beth and will miss her dearly. Rest in peace.
Love,
Dr Michael Butler

My deepest sympathies to Beth’s family. She always talked about her wonderful family and how proud she was of all of them. I was part of her work family since 1987 with the heart surgeons. Beth and I had a deep bond which will never be forgotten. She was one of the kindest people on this planet and I know God has said “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” I was so privileged to be with her until the end. Thank you, Beth, for all the good memories. I will miss you forever.

So very sorry to see that Beth Ann has passed away. She was a great classmate in "the class of 65" the greatest to ever graduate from SAJSHS! Beth was a a quiet but steady lady and had a very caring attitude for all those around her. She was dedicated to her profession and also to her siblings. She will be dearly missed by all her classmates, her co-workers and her family.

To the family of Beth Sayers,
Please accept my most heartfelt condolences on Beth's passing. Beth was part of a very special team and family at Hamot Medical Center. I first met and worked with Beth after she left St. Vincent Health Center and joined our heart surgery team at Hamot. Beth was already an experienced RN first assistant and an old-school nurse. She was extremely devoted to the heart surgeons who had left St. Vincent's. I was the most junior surgeon at the time, but after a short time working together and getting to know one another, I felt that she quickly developed the same level of devotion, reverence, and care for the entire surgical team at Hamot. Beth would do anything she could to help the patients, OR staff, and surgeons. She loved being a surgical nurse, it was her life's mission. She was the epitome of a team player, always professional, thoughtful, and calm. She was an invaluable member of our team and I enjoyed working with her. I know Beth is looking down from Heaven and is as proud as I am to be part of such a special team, one of the best heart surgery teams in the country.
Beth will be sincerely missed,
Dr. Christopher Strzalka
