Obituary of Helen M. Keesler
Hazel Hurst - Helen M. "Coby" Keesler, 88, of Hazel Hurst, passed away Monday (January 23, 2023) at her residence.
She was born May 10, 1934 in Drummond, PA, the daughter of Robert and Marie Uhl Henry. On March 12, 1955, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mt. Jewett, she married Paul Richard "Dick" Keesler, who died December 28, 2021.
“Coby” worked earlier in life at several locations in the area. She was employed at The Colonial in Smethport for a period of time, then worked at The Old Kettle, and finally worked in the cafeteria of the Hazel Hurst Elementary School. She ultimately enjoyed being a homemaker for family, friends and anyone who would come through the door.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed crosswords.
She is survived by:
One daughter: Debra L. Keesler of Hazel Hurst
Two sons: Robert L. Keesler of Hazel Hurst and Paul R. Keesler, Jr. of Kane
One granddaughter: Dawn Stoddard
One great granddaughter: Mya Stoddard
And several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents and husband, Coby was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
There will be no visitation or services.
