Obituary of Louise E. Froebel

Salisbury, NC---Louise Elizabeth Froebel, 80, of Salisbury, NC, passed away Saturday (September 3rd, 2022) at Novant Health, Salisbury, NC.

She was born September 2nd, 1942 in Austin, PA, the daughter of Joseph G. and Louise Miller Kazimer.

On September 22nd, 1967, she married Arthur Alan Froebel, who died on March 30th, 2002.

Louise was a graduate of Port Allegany High School.  She attended Beauty School and was a hairdresser.  She first did hair in Bradford and then she opened a shop in her home in Turtlepoint.  She also was an exceptional cook and had worked for various restaurants and establishments in the area before moving to North Carolina. Her last job was as a barista for VA Hospital in Salisbury, NC.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Salisbury, NC.

She is survived by:

One daughter: Regina “Gina” (Richard) Johnson of Haw River, NC

One son: Eric Froebel of Grovetown, GA

Five grandchildren: Lindsay Johnson, Emily Brooke Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Jeremy Froebel, and Daniel Froebel

Two sisters: Jacqueline Tarbox of Roulette, PA and Rose “Sissy” Kessel of Bradford, PA

Three brothers: Joseph Kazimer, Jr. of Lake Wales, FL, James Kazimer of Port Allegany, PA and Jeff Kazimer of Coudersport, PA.

And several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Kazimer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022 from 6-8pm at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Port Allegany, PA. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 29th, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sartwell. Committal will be in Grimes Cemetery in Port Allegany, PA.
