Obituary of Thomas George Robbins
Port Allegany – Thomas George Robbins, 88, of Port Allegany, passed away Tuesday (August 9, 2022) at his residence in Port Allegany.
He was born July 15, 1934 in Sheffield, PA, the son of Harry and Genevieve Grace (Cook) Robbins. On June 5, 1955, in Port Allegany, he married Barbara Burgess, who passed away on March 23, 2015.
Mr. Robbins was a graduate of Port Allegany High School Class of 1952. He worked in sales for refractories selling fire brick for industrial purposes.
He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, gardening, and restoring old cars.
He is survived by:
Longtime companion: Alice Robbins of Port Allegany
Two sons: Thomas George (Amy) Robbins of St. Louis, MO and Brian Keith (Diane) Robbins of Apple Valley, CA
One daughter: Sandra Denise Hughes of Henderson, NV
Grandchildren: Adam Hughes, Emily Robbins, Bailey Robinson, Tom Robbins, Michael Robbins, Jessica Watson, Crystal Lopez and Michael Hawthorne
Great granchildren: Gage, Addisyn & Parker Hughes, Charlotte & Keegan Robinson
One special brother-in-law, Edward Burgess of Port Allegany, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Allen Robbins, one grandson, Dustin Hughes, and two brothers, Harry Robbins and Everett Robbins.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
