Obituary of Nancy S. Gregg

Port Allegany - Nancy S. Gregg, 89, of Roulette, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday (July 10, 2022) at her residence in Roulette.

 

She was born February 24, 1933 in Camden, NJ, a daughter of Howard Eisenhardt and Edna Garwood. On July 19, 1952, in Westmont, NJ, she married John H. Gregg, who died October 26, 2014.

 

Nancy attended Haddonfield Memorial High School in Camden, NJ and also took classes at the Methodist Hospital in New Jersey.

 

Nancy had worked at State Farm Insurance in Coudersport for Jeff Wilcox for several years.  Ultimately, she was a home maker.

 

She was a member of the Chestnut St. Baptist Church of Port Allegany.  She and her husband were foster parents over the years, had been a Den Mother, Band Booster and supported anything her children were involved in.  She was also a member of the Sunshine Circle of Roulette.

 

She is survived by:

One son:  Rev. Jack (Cheryl) Gregg of Smethport

Two daughters:  Susan (Joe) VanReymersdal of Yardley, PA and Eileen (Steve) Albanese of Langhorne, PA

Eleven Grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren

Four sisters:  Mary Anne Sooy of Wenonah, NJ, Margaret Berry of Ontario, Canada, Janet Ritter of Lawrenceville, NJ and Cindy Oberg of Westmont, NJ

And many nieces and nephews

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Brian Gregg, and one brother, Bruce Eisenhardt.

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc., 105 Main St., Port Allegany.  Funeral and committal services will be held on Thursday, July 14th, at 11 AM from the Chestnut St. Baptist Church of Port Allegany, with Nancy’s son, the Rev. Jack Gregg, Pastor of the Regular Baptist Church, Smethport, officiating.  Burial will be in Hill Cemetery, Roulette.
