Obituary of Susan Ann Causer

Smethport - Susan Ann Causer, 67, of Hazel Hurst, passed away Friday (March 25, 2022) at UPMC-Kane.

 

She was born April 6, 1954 in Oxford, England, the daughter of Joe Doan and Ann Hathaway Doan.  On December 15, 1976, in Smethport, she married Philip D. Causer, who survives.

 

Mrs. Causer was a nurse’s aide at the Kane Lutheran Home for several years before her retirement.

 

Susan enjoyed her family, especially her grandkids, gardening and flowers planting.  She was an avid dog lover.  She adored her dog “Coco”.

 

In addition to her husband, and her mother Ann of Coudersport, she is survived by: 

Two sons:  Chad (Joanna) Wilson of Andover, NY and David P. (Nicole Wheatley) Causer of Kane

One daughter:  Misty D. (William) Baldwin of Smethport

Four grandchildren:  Shelby (RuBen Redmond) Baldwin, Tyler Baldwin, Levi Causer and Baya Causer

One sister:  Sheila (Fred) Ayers of Coudersport

One brother:  Donald Doan

And several nieces and nephews

 

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one son, Mark A. Causer, one grandson, and one brother, Jimmy Doan.

 

Services will be held privately with the family.  Burial will be in the Bridgeview Cemetery, Mt. Jewett, PA.
