Obituary of Ralph L. Crowe, Sr.
Port Allegany - Ralph L. Crowe, 87, of Port Allegany, passed away on Thursday (March 24, 2022) at UPMC-Cole, Coudersport.
He was born February 23, 1935 in Port Allegany, the son of Leslie Clare and Marie A. Cummings Crowe. On April 19, 1958, in Bradford, he married Florence H. Bowen, who survives.
Ralph was a 1953 Graduate of Port Allegany High School. He was a PFC serving in the U.S. Army during the Korea.
Ralph worked for Pittsburgh Corning of Port Allegany for 42 years, retiring in1995.
Ralph enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Florence, he is survived by:
Two daughters: Lora (Jeff) Ford and Alita (Dean) Burford, both of Port Allegany
Three sons: Ralph L. (Tammy Lorenzo) Crowe, Jr. of Manning, SC, Stephen J. (Dawn Petrov) Crowe and Douglas E. Crowe, both of Port Allegany
Nine grandchildren: Ralph, Katera, Tara, Haylee, Cheyenne, Colton, Krystal, Amber and Zack
Fourteen great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren
Three sisters: Helene (George) Turner, Donna Blose and Betty Stebbins, all of Port Allegany
And several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily Ford, one brother, Thomas Crowe and one sister, Nancy Wythe.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, March 27, at the Eldred First Church of God with the Rev. James Kazimer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery.
