My condolences to the family and all who loved Eileen. It’s so hard to lose someone we love, but the seeming finality of death is what makes it especially difficult. We can have confidence that God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. (Job 14:14,15) His Word, the Bible, gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28,29) May this bring you some comfort during this very difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, family and friends of “Mrs. McKean” as I’ll always call her. Praying that your grief is brief knowing that in her one life she was called to touch so many lives and did it with confidence and poise no matter what the occasion. I met her brilliance in my early childhood school years, she instructed my first computer class, led me through my reilgious education, explored with me in 4-H, and stood as a beacon every year at Fair. Even after moving away from home, she continued to silently influence me, though she never knew it. Her legacy will live on in so very many ways in those who hold her values dear. We hold her close in our minds and in our hearts, and hope to make her proud in sharing the knowledge, faith, and wisdom she has imparted on us all for so many years.
