Obituary of Roy Parkes Lawrence
Smethport - Roy Parkes Lawrence, 66, of Smethport, died Tuesday (October 23, 2018) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.
He was born Oct 13, 1952 in Bradford, a son of William and Esther Parkes Lawrence.
Roy was a graduate of Bradford High School and was a Triangle Tech graduate with HVAC certification.
He served during Vietnam in the Air Force, and was a very proud veteran.
Mr. Lawrence owned and operated “Lawrence Quality Heating & Cooling” in Smethport.
He enjoyed playing football in high school at Bradford.
He is survived by:
Three daughters: Nicole (Jim) Line and Patricia Cunningham, both of Smethport, and Alison (David) Roae of Olean, NY.
One son: Daniel Roy (Amber) Lawrence of Pasadena, MD
Five grandchildren: Ruth, Ketha and Gideon Line, Anna Cunningham and Andrew Roae
One brother: Harry Lawrence of Victorville, CA
Four sisters: Ann (Bill) Leslie of Verona, NY, Margret (Brownie) Karpensky of Lisle, NY, Dawna (John) Michael of Richmond, VA, and Nelda “Dolly” (Eric) Cobb of Bradford, PA
One Aunt: Nelda Hale of Lewistown, PA
And several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alison Maria Cunningham and 2 brothers: Edward “Eddie” and William “Billy” Lawrence.
Graveside services with military honors will be held Thursday, November 1st at 1pm at the Messiah Baptist Church Cemetery in Kylertown, PA. Service arrangements are under Dahlgren-Spewock of Philipsburg, PA.
