Obituary of Betty A. Raszmann

Smethport - Betty Alice Raszmann, 80, of Crosby, died Monday (June 15, 2009) in the St. Vincent Hospital, Erie.She was born Dec 24, 1928 in Smethport, a daughter of Stephen James and Verlie VanSickel Sherwood. On November 23, 1947, in Farmers Valley, PA, she married John Kenneth Raszmann, who died April 22, 2009.Mrs. Raszmann attended Smethport Area Schools and was employed in the cafeteria at the Smethport Area Jr./Sr. High School. She retired from there in 1997.She was a member of the Crosby United Methodist Church, an active member of the Elderberries of the Smethport Senior Center, and was a member of the Norwich Grange.She is survived bytwo daughters: Sue Work and Tena Emerson of Crosby, PA four sons: Tony Steven Raszmann and Troy (Molly) Raszmann of Crosby, PA, Jim (Cindy) Raszmann of Erie, PA, Fred (Marlene) Raszmann of Smethport, PA, 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildrenone sister: Bertha Weismiller of Crosby, PA; and several nieces and nephewsShe was preceded in death by her parents and husband.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, at 11 am, in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, with the Rev.
