Obituary of Robert M. Hamilton

Smethport - Robert M. Hamilton, 87, of Smethport, died Thursday (April 16, 2009) in the Lakeview Senior Care & Living Ctr., Smethport. He was born Sept. 26, 1921 in Pittsburgh, a son of Earl and Grace Milne Hamilton. On April 28, 1951, in Wilkinsburg, PA, he married Patricia A. Krampert, who survives. Mr. Hamilton was a graduate of Avalon High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his BS in Business Administration. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, as a Warrant Officer. He was employed by Burroughs Corp., now known as Unisys, in both Philadelphia and in Detroit, MI, for over 30 years. He retired in 1985. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Page (Richard) Ceci of Canton, MI, Jan (Peter) Bonsey of Buffalo, NY, Beth (Brian) Kemian of Dearborn, MI one son: Dale (Jani) Hamilton of Ormond Beach, FL 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren one sister: Eileen Hamilton-Leiterman of Pittsburgh, PA In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother. There will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at a later date with the family in the Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park, PA.
